BookStrand: Send to Kindle set-up Instructions

First, you'll need to add to your list of approved email addresses on your Kindle. 


  1. Log onto your account and Manage Your Content and Devices.

  2. From Preferences scroll down to Personal Document Settings.

  3. Under Approved Personal Document Email List, check if your email address is listed. If your email address is not listed, select Add a new approved e-mail address. Type in

  4. Click Add Address.

Next, you'll need to add your Kindle address to your account. To do this: 


  1. Log onto to with your user account information.

  2. Hover on your account name in the upper right-hand corner (next to the shopping cart), and select Account Settings tab.

  3. Under Kindle Address, enter the Kindle address assigned to your Kindle device (i.e., Help finding your Kindle address.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Then just purchase a book at and click the Send to Kindle icon that is located next to the title in your bookshelf.

  • After clicking the 'Send to Kindle" icon, then you MUST check your email and look for an email from Amazon that asks you to VERIFY. Once you click VERIFY, your book should be sent to you.
